Date:Approved By: Date:Summary of Objective:The training specialist will be responsible for improving the competencies of individual employees by designing andconducting training programs that will enhance employee workplace performance in alignment with company's corevalues. This individual will be responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing and deliveringcurriculum and learning materials and for managing all phases of training interventions. This individual will also beresponsible for interfacing with Operations and Human Resources in order to understand the training anddevelopmental needs of the company from a cross-functional perspective, so that they can be proactively addressedthrough robust training initiatives that will produce short-term and long-term results. In short, the training specialistwill be responsible for enhancing the individual and collective skills, performance, productivity, and quality of workproduced.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to performeach essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other dutiesmay be assigned.* Responsible for delivering technical, job specific, or soft skill training* Translating organizational requirements into trainings that will enhance knowledge, proficiency, or personneldevelopment* Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their results* Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals* Design and expand training and development programs based on the needs of the organization and theindividual* Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees workbehavior* Assist with talent management, succession planning, and personnel development* Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and continually incorporate theseimprovements into the developed training programs* Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs* Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to reviseor recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.* Devise, track and update individual learning plans and the curriculum assigned to each functionaldepartment* Establish cross-functional partnerships to ensure alignment and the standardization of processes from alearning and development perspective* Advance and support any required compliance or professional development training delivery on site* Understand e-learning techniques, and where appropriate, create and/or delivery e-learning packages,programs, or techniques* Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position will not have any direct reports. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years' work experience in a regulated environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, comprehend, execute, and communicate English language
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Strong math skills (statistical)
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Strong troubleshooting and computer/software skills..
