Summary of Objective:

The Senior Accountant has the primary responsibility of maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and preparing various analysis to support the finance department, as well as, other PCI. This unique role will support site payroll and site packaging finance operations. This position will work closely with the site payroll administrator to ensure accurate processing and recording of the company's payroll data, and provide timely financial information. Other position responsibilities will include executing a variety of financial procedures to include preparing financial reports (monthly, quarterly, yearly), performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, forecast/budget input and performing other accounting duties as assigned to ensure the business is running efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.

Provide technical accounting support in relation to latest accounting standards.

Assists in the monthly close process including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Reconcile payroll tax reporting after each pay run to ensure accurate fillings by tax service provider Reconcile site payroll Workday to JDE - monthly, quarterly, yearly.

Workday & JDE payroll interface which includes posting and related payroll accruals including benefits, 401(k) and cash.

Analyze capital spending, forecasting for major investments.

Domestic and International Intercompany account reconciliations.

Compiles journal entries, account reconciliations and SOX documentation as required to support annual external audit requirements.

Engage in the annual budgeting and forecasting process Assist in financial reports and analysis that support site operations, including production reports, job costing analysis, monthly expenses by department versus budget, headcount, as well as real time financial reports, as requested.

Support processing of sales invoices and credit memos ensuring accurate invoicing to customers. JDE General ledger chart of account maintenance.

Accounts Payable - support check run, wire payments, ACH transactions and Positive pay Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable month-end reconciliations.

Year-end tax forms to support R&D tax credit, State Income Tax, US tax, 199 MFG deduction, Surveys. Etc.

Participates in annual review of SOX controls and maintenance of proper internal control system. Participates in all site external and internal audit requirements: fiscal year-end, 401(k) and Workers Compensation.

Participates in compliance with financial policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.

Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 5-10 years related experience and/or training.
  • College Level Mathematical Skills
  • Intermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and has knowledge of various computer programs.
  • Minimum Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak in a way that allows one to participate effectively in various conversations. Ability to read various types of standard items addressed to general readers.
  • Intermediate Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions that may be furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems that involve several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • High Standard of Report Writing

Preferred:

  • Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires.
  • Ability to display excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
  • Experience in all facets of finance. Ability to work effectively with multiple levels across a highly cross-functional team including operations, customer service and IT.
  • Strong communications, interpersonal skills, and business acumen. Proactively identify issues and develop solutions that span several functions and management levels. Guide and influence decision making
  • JDE, OneStream, and Business Objects experience desired
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP
