Summary of Objective:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciliations and supporting the Finance and Accounting team with the global consolidation and preparation of financial reports. The Staff Accountant will also assist with the preparation of financial analysis and support the integration of systems and newly acquired entities as needed. The Staff Accountant will have interaction with senior leadership within the company. This role does not have supervisory roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.

Preparation of journal entries and supporting documentation General ledger account reconciliation and analysis Month end close management and preparation of financial reports Respond to departments and sites information requests Facilitate the invoicing process and maintaining documentation for accounts payable Recommend ways to improve or develop new processes to gain efficiencies Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with the preparation and presentation of financial statements Self-starting personality with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously Well organized and detail oriented Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills Competent in the use of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Power Point This position may require overtime and/or weekend work. Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules. Attendance to work is an essential function of this position Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 1-5 years related experience and/or training.
  • College Level Mathematical Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills: Ability to perform basic computer tasks and has the ability to operate common computer programs.
  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
  • Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.
  • Other Required Skills.
