In the role of Civil Construction Inspector II, we'll count on you to:
  • Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure
  • Provide Office Engineering oversight and serve as deputy consultant Project Manager overseeing Construction management consultant.
  • Assist with monitoring project efforts, review of CCOs, CDs and facilitating the review and approval process.
  • Assist with various field activity monitoring and documentation.
  • Assist in pursuit of other projects and programs that will utilize expertise in Office Engineering and construction inspection, including meeting with clients, review of plans and field conditions and assisting with proposal writing.
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS Civil Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 year's varied experience with capital improvement projects in transportation, transit, rail or vertical construction.
  • Ability to write well
  • Flexibility with regards to assignment and location
  • Understanding of construction means and methods, specifications and plans and ability to explain requirements to others.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • EIT or PE, or active pursuit of the professional licensure
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years experience
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
