Description
Acara Solutions is looking for a Mechanical Technician for one of our clients inn Lockport, NY.
- 6+ month contract (potential to extend)
- $30-$32/hr
- Monday- Friday
Job Responsibilities
- Read, interpret and evaluate existing designs and/or blueprints
- Assemble new mechanical components/equipment according to work instructions and defined specifications
- Analyze design specifications to determine whether potential modifications are needed to meet existing and new guidelines
- Work closely with others to propose changes in design, manufacturing and/or assembly
- Review project blueprints and instructions to verify test procedures, equipment specifications and objectives
- Work with engineers to make design modifications utilizing CAD, if possible
- Maintains Bill of Materials and works with engineers regarding accuracy using spread sheet software
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in engineering, manufacturing technology or related area of study
- Ability to operate tools and machinery, including screwdrivers, soldering equipment, calipers and amplifiers
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Intermediate knowledge of CAD software
- Experience with analytical, scientific and industrial control software
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing technology or related area of study
