Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Mixer Operator to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on our Weekend Night Shift.

As a Mixer Operator, this candidate will be responsible for handling raw ingredients to mix the dough and filling the hoppers on the extruders.

This position works Thursday-Saturday 5:25PM - 5:25AM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect raw ingredients needed for mixing and take them to the mixing area.
• Responsible for accurate measuring of all ingredients per formula requirements.
• Operate controls that add flour and water into mixer. Place ingredients into mixer.
• Monitor dough quality and texture to ensure quality and consistency.
• Remove dough from mixer and separate according to sour dough specifications.
• Record production and ingredient lot numbers into the production reporting system.
• Separate overlapped and miss-shaped pretzels on one side of the proofing belt.
• Inspect machinery and dough conveyors for wear and communicate to supervisor/maintenance.
• Maintain an organized and sanitary environment preventing contamination from any source.
• Substitute for Mixer/Extruder, Proofer and Twister Operators for breaks and lunches.
• Assist in weekly cleaning; train and encourage inexperienced associates, assist as needed in production.
• Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
• Works in a safe manner at all times and communicates any safety issues to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Able to read, write, speak and understand sufficient English to communicate with supervisors and co-workers.
• Be available and dependable for occasional overtime.
• Able to lift at least 75 pounds.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, reach and lift while on duty.
• Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Able to commit to the Weekend Night Shift
