Aon's Reinsurance Solutions business is looking for an AI & Automation Development Lead!

As part of an industry-leading global broking platform, you will help deliver solutions on an enterprise scale starting from the art of the possible through production value realization and beyond. Solution types include data extraction from unstructured, and semi-structured documents, emails, and attachments, automated placements/ submissions/ claims, predictive analytics, summarization, comparison in expert systems.

What the day will look like

Lead multi-functional teams in the successful delivery of AI and automation initiatives using project management skills, agile methodologies, and software development standard processes. Inspire, enable, and effectively convey project team members, measuring performance and giving appropriate feedback.

Balance multiple vendors in various types including staff augmentation, fixed bid, managed outcome, etc.

Collaborate with product owners to define objectives, product scope, roadmap and measures of success and envision possibilities.

Develop strategies and formulate technical solutions for extracting data from documents and emails.

Design and implement persistent data storage suitable for transactional and analytical purposes.

Collaborate with enterprise teams on emerging technology, standard setting, and shared services.

Act as a go-to technical authority for topics in the AI and Automation space.

Build or coordinate artifacts that are required in the SLDC process. Participate in architectural design collaborations with architects and development leads.

Mentor development teams around practices.

Writes code as needed, particularly when its complex or difficult to achieve performance / scalability targets.

Works with quality lead on test strategy to validate business goals are met.

Be self-educating and self-motivating to stay at the forefront of technology while looking for opportunities to drive innovative business solutions. Educate and share knowledge with team members on new technology and tooling options.

Skills and experience that will lead to success.

  • Overall 10+years of IT experience with minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI with a focus on document ingestion & data extraction.
  • Experience with LLM, NLP, excellent systems, and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with architecting cloud native AI solutions.
  • Proficiency with Python and SQL. Good grasp of relational and NoSQL database concepts
  • Experience delivering AI solutions in an agile software development environment.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree and/or equivalent experience in software engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field
  • Experience with Azure services such as Cosmos DB, Databricks, AI Search, Cognitive Services, and Fabric are a plus.
  • Experience with commercial AI SaaS document extraction products. (Ping Intel a plus)
  • Experience building scalable and maintainable RPA solutions that integrate with enterprise services. (UiPath a plus)

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $160,000 - $175,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
