Power and Fuel Technology SME

As a Power and Fuel Technology SME, you will bring an in-depth understanding and expertise to develop and manage prepositioned fuels support equipment strategies and employment for the Marine Corps. You will analyze and provide technical reports and courses of action (COA) to execute or mitigate conditions adversely impacting OPLAN, Expeditionary, Direct and Indirect Mission Support Fuels Support Equipment (FSE) usage requests. You will liaison with users, Staff activities and Navy office on FSE authorizations and utilization policy. You will monitor Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) and Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution (DCAPES) systems and assess impact of reported readiness. You'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we'll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes.

You Have:

  • 10 + years of experience at the Craftsman level maintaining and operating fuels facilities and systems

  • 10 + years of experience servicing aircraft in expeditionary environments

  • Knowledge or technical services provided by the Naval Petroleum Office

  • Knowledge of DoD fuels distribution management, materiel management, and contingency operations

  • Knowledge of Force Design

  • Ability to calculate estimated fuel daily demand rates and days of supply

  • Ability to read site surveys and expeditionary site plans to develop equipment and personnel requirements to support operations

  • Ability to think critically, analyze and solve complex problems

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 4 + years of experience at the Superintendent level managing fuels and cryogenic operations

  • 4 + years of experience working on a Strategic Level military staff

  • Experience researching new and developmental fuel support equipment capabilities

  • Ability to create effective information papers, emails, reports, and various types of briefings

  • Master's degree

  • Graduate of the Contingency Wartime Planning Course

  • Graduate of the Petroleum Leadership Management Course

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
