Buckeye Partners is currently seeking an Analyst II, Operational Excellence Services with advanced experience analyzing and reporting operational performance in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our team!

Role Summary:

The Analyst II, Operational Excellence Services is responsible for supporting a High-Performance Culture and applying the Safety and Operations Management System to most effectively achieve safety and operational goals and objectives through data analytics and reporting. This role will have interaction and engagement across Operations and Operations Support Teams including Operations Leadership and Program Owners to ensure ongoing alignment and support.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:

  • Operational Performance Data Analysis and Reporting: Trend, consolidate, analyze, and report cross-functional and programmatic performance measures, metrics, and KPIs to enable identification and prioritization of areas of opportunity.
  • Compile operational performance data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Routinely perform exploratory data analysis, using a variety of methods and tools, to identify trends, patterns, and outliers to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Present data-driven insights to stakeholders and leadership in a distilled and comprehensible manner.
  • Create clear and concise reports summarizing key findings and trends.
  • Develop and distribute metrics and performance updates.
  • Data Dashboard Development, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting:
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to consolidate data and develop accurate and digestible dashboards that create visibility to operational performance.
  • Collaborate with data set owners and IT Business Intelligence Team to enhance metric reporting and dashboard functionality.
  • Advise on database construct and maintenance to further enable data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • To maintain and act as subject matter expert on Operational Excellence Services owned Operational Performance dashboards and reports.
  • Program and End-User Support:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional programs and operations to drive continuous improvement of data and metrics including enhanced performance, efficiency, reliability, and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide general dashboard and report utilization guidance to end-users.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required, preferably in Engineering, Business, or an Analytics-related discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional or related industry experience.
  • Understands or has experience in the Midstream Oil & Gas industry and operations.
  • Experience in Business Intelligence principals, database analytics, SQL, and advanced experience in Power BI.
  • Advanced experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Office (including Power BI), and other Oracle based products are preferred.
  • Up to 20% travel.
