Widener University is currently seeking a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences for the 2024-25 academic year. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Teaching duties will include introductory chemistry courses and laboratories for both science/engineering majors and for non-science majors, including general, organic, and biochemistry for nursing students.

Widener's Chemistry Department is a proud signer of Beyond Benign's Green Chemistry Commitment and is invested in the teaching of green chemistry across our curriculum. Experience in green chemistry is beneficial.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education/training and experience required):

Required:

• A demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education and a PhD in chemistry or equivalent experience in a chemistry-related discipline. ABD candidates may be considered if the degree will be completed by August 2024.
