Responsibilities

3rd Shift - 11:00 pm - 7:00 am Monday through Friday

Starting pay $26.70/hr. plus $1.00/hr Shift Differential

Now Hiring SMT Technicians for our Cranberry Township, PA manufacturing plant.

The responsibilities of this position are primarily to:

  • Assemble printed circuit boards by setting-up and operating SMT and/or Conformal Coating machines.
  • Perform manual inspection of the boards to ensure that they are within specification.
  • Program SMT and/or Conformal Coating Machines using CAD software. Programming also requires knowledge of machine functions in relation to board layout and flow of material.
  • Troubleshoot and debug errors within programs and machines.
  • Run prototype boards/programs for engineering (red folder) jobs.
  • Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system.


Qualifications

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

  • Ability to program SMT and/or Conformal Coating machines using CAD software.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
  • Ability to perform standard software operations including Excel and SAP.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in soldering.
  • Ability to identify various electronic components.
  • Ability to infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to regularly perform work that requires magnification.
  • Strong manual dexterity for use of tools and performing work on small components requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness.
  • Ability to concentrate for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, frequently in a stationary position.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work.
  • Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.
  • Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts.
  • Ability to wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis.
  • Individuals with pace makers may be prohibited from working in specific areas due to the operation of UV ovens.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 months previous electronics manufacturing or other related experience.

Experience Preferred:

  • Computer Programming training
  • Minimum of 12 months experience working in the Boardroom assembling PCBs.
  • Previous experience with fluidics and robotics.
