A day in the life...

The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling manufacturing runs in the plant. This position will be a resource for multidepartment including but not limited to production, staffing, purchasing and quality.

What you will be doing...

• Balances conflicting objectives of efficient manufacturing and labor, material to develop the production plan.
• Analyze material shortage conditions, follow up with supply chain and recommend corrective actions daily.
• Analyze work center load and advise Planning and Manufacturing management of staffing or other constraints.
• Deliver firm daily production schedule to manufacturing.
• Communicate with multi departments including but not limited to: Manufacturing and Planning, daily- regarding identified concerns with material/component availability, equipment failures, customer demands, engineering changes, and deviations that impact the attainment of the production schedule.
• Review MRP transactions to facilitate proper product movement through the supply chain for finished goods.
• Utilize SAP to open orders, close orders, process scrap, run queries, and reports.
• Estimates production time for each order giving consideration to availability of machines, material and tooling, number of operations involved, manufacturing backlog, order quantity, complexity of product.

Do you have what it takes?

(Basic Qualifications)

• Knowledge of production lead times.

• Lean/Continuous Improvement Qualifications advantageous and Production Planning.
• Support Value stream improvements by Identifying root cause failure modes for late release of Work in progress.
• Familiarity with SAP.

Preferred Qualifications: Do you stand above the rest?

• Experience scheduling in a challenging environment.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in analyzing data relating to product forecasting, scheduling, or shipment.
• Comfortable leading discussion and debate both within peer group and with matrix business partners, operational.
• Analytical background desired.
