In this position, you will collaborate with state and federal veterinarians, as well as other health professionals and stakeholders, to carry out epidemiological investigations. These investigations aim to identify domestic animal exposure, disease sources, risk factors, and potential spread of diseases like rabies and avian influenza. Your responsibilities will include explaining Pennsylvania rabies law and the rabies virus to stakeholders, veterinarians, and other health professionals, as well as conducting comprehensive rabies investigations. By fulfilling your duties, you will ensure compliance with bureau laws and regulations, prevent regulatory disease events, and implement domestic animal disease control programs.
