Summary:

Seeking a dynamic, professional who will be a key part of the Partnership's NGL and Refined Products Revenue Accounting Team. The NGL & Refined Products Revenue Accounting Team is responsible for the administration and accounting for all NGL & Refined Product pipelines, fractionators, storage, marketing and export activities in the US.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

* The individual in this role should have the initiative and drive to gain a deep understanding of the end-to-end NGL and Refined Products business and enjoy working across multiple departments in support of the business and other members of the team.

* Assist in preparation of monthly pipeline invoicing and reporting packages

* Provide invoices to customers on a monthly basis

* Assist in preparation of journal entries

* Track and log manual journal entries on monthly basis

* Prepare invoice and back-up support for miscellaneous customer billings

* Communicate effectively and efficiently with internal and external customers

* Responsible for ensuring accuracy of intercompany & affiliate company transactions

* Management, review & monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts

* Maintain SOX internal control processes

* Assist with quarterly and annual audit process

* Assist with quarterly FERC filings

* Generate monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and external users

* Ad hoc requests by internal management

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 0-2 years of experience - can include public accounting experience within the energy sector
  • Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and function independently and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem solving with ability to recognize issues and deal with them directly
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written
  • Excellent organization skills and work habits
  • Able to work comfortably in fast paced, unpredictable environment
  • Comfortable working in a team environment, including interaction with measurement, scheduling, commercial, contract administration and marketing departments
  • Strong Excel skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP and Entero application systems preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Office

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
