Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.
The incumbent will perform experiments to study the effect of sustained release polymer formulations of common ocular drugs on cells and small animals. Experiments will be carried out in the fields of tissue engineering, polymer chemistry, and analytical chemistry.This will include continuous evaluation of experiments and improving methodologies, as well as the analysis, recording, and interpretation of results. The incumbent will perform ordering and will prepare laboratory solutions, test materials, and reagents. The incumbent may present research at meetings.
Incumbent must be able to sit and stad for moderate durations.Incumbent must be able to lift 10lbs, to carry supplies, etc.
