Job Description

Work Days and Expected Hours:

Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: Provides internal and external customer service in a centralized Loan Servicing Center by maintaining the IBS Insight Loan System information, completing various loan servicing related tasks and projects, and providing telephone support through the LSC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily maintenance, disbursement and processing of participated commercial loans (bought and sold). Responsible for maintaining servicing relationship with participating banks and ensuring an accurate system reconcilement between institutions.

  • Reconcilement of application system to multiple loan general ledger accounts and deposit clearing accounts.

  • Maintenance of application systems by suspense clearing, maintenance tasks and report review (DL, Maintenance Cross Check, Unapplied, etc).

  • Performs research on problems and discrepancies related to specific customer service issues and related documents (notices, bills, maturing CCR, etc.) in support of the Direct Banking Center, Operations Help Desk, and Retail/Commercial Lending staff.

  • Calculation, document preparation, and system maintenance of loan extensions/modifications.

  • Rate change verification and maintenance (ie. Prime rate, Adjustable Rate Mortgages, etc.)

  • Performs account maintenance such as billing adjustments, payment schedules, commitment and note changes, loan advances, ach payment setup, etc.

  • Payment processing through special payment coupons, mail payments, ach and holiday extensions.

  • Commercial rate swap servicing via payment processing, interest rate maintenance, balancing and interbank wires.

  • Performs special projects utilizing a comprehensive understanding of the IBS Insight Loan System as it relates to customer service, system interface, and compliance with S&T Bank and Regulatory policies.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn the organization.

  • Provides application systems assistance and training to bank personnel.

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device: 98% of the day; operate office equipment: 2% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows. Sitting is required 99% of the day in a straight position. Minimal lifting is required in this position. Utilizes manual dexterity skills for typing, filing, and data entry on a frequent basis, up to 85% of the business day. Possess the ability to focus visually at a close distance of 18"-20" for a period of up to 85% of the business day. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, stand, walk, and reach with hand and/or arm throughout the business day.

Education

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent basic academic education.

Experience

Two to five years general experience. General experience in loan systems and servicing functions, preferred.

Salary Range:
