Come be our next Food Service Assistant at Main Line Health! This seasonal position will extend from May through September.

Available Hospital Locations: Lankenau (Wynnewood), Bryn Mawr, Paoli, Riddle (Media), Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation (Malvern)

• Schedule - Various 8hr and 4hr shifts, to include an every other weekend and holiday rotation.

• Be an Integral Member of our Organization! You make all the difference for our customers! Provide friendly, excellent customer service to patients, employees, and visitors in the food service area at our hospital. Join us in maintaining the highest food safety standards as a part of our commitment to the individuals we serve.

* May collect menus and assemble & deliver nourishments and patient feedings to assigned units.
* Complete daily and weekly sanitation assignments.
* Maintain work areas in a clean and sanitary manner.
* May assist in the dish room before and after meal periods.
* Store small wares according to established standards.
* Empty trash in designated receptacles.
* Maintain department floors by sweeping and mopping.
* Display a polite and friendly customer service attitude to co-workers and customers.
* Set up and maintains retail service areas during meal periods as assigned.
* Assist with catered events if necessary.
* Complete additional duties assigned by supervisor.
* Use techniques of suggestive selling. Example: giving a friendly goodbye and extend an invitation to return.
* May perform cashiering duties, required to follow proper cash handling policy and procedures
* Attend In-Services and meetings as scheduled, follows department policy on attendance, punctuality and dress.
* Incorporate the organization's mission and values into daily performance.
* Maintain compliance with standards of operation. Maintain all records and reports necessary to comply with standards, regulations, and codes.

Experience:

• One year of food service experience in a healthcare environment or general food service is preferred.
  

Education:

• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate English sufficiently to perform required duties.
• Effective communication/interpersonal skills.
