Description

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • 10+ years design experience in Upstream and Midstream markets
  • Prepare accurate and complete drawings using practical design knowledge.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and assist lead engineer and/or designer to ensure effective quality product.
  • Performs drafting checks on design drawings.
  • Keep up to date on new design processes, modeling, drafting techniques, and standards.
  • Coordinate, review and utilize vendor drawings
  • Ability to develop Material take-offs
  • Ability to estimate hours per deliverable
  • Good Communication skills, works well in a team environment
  • Strives to improve knowledge, accuracy and productivity daily
  • Collects and prepares data/information and generates design and detail drawings
  • Assists in field work, checking installations and problem solving activities.
  • Interacts with Clients to convey project design and identify scope changes.
  • Interacts with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information.
Qualifications

Associate Degree in a technical discipline preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of design experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Proficient in the following software: AutoCAD, CADworx 3D, Autoplant 3D.
  • Familiar with SPI a plus
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to communicate technical solutions effectively.
  • Previous EPC experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of NEC, IEC, ISA & IEEE design complying with industry standards.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office products.
