Job Description:

A professional registered nurse who works in a cooperative and consultative relationship with the Director of Surgical Services and surgery nurse manager and assumes the primary responsibilities for the organization of the daily operation of the OR schedule (and staff assignments).

JOB DUTIES :

  • Responsibility and accountability for providing leadership, communication, decision-making, planning, coordination and evaluation of daily operation of OR schedule.
  • May be required to assist surgery personnel in performing post-case cleaning duties.
  • Demonstrates computer literacy and competency in use of existing technology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
  • Five years of clinical experience and successful performances as a staff nurse are also mandatory.
  • BSN preferred.
