Job Description:
Baptist Health is looking for an Accountant I to join our team. This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN
Performs various monthly accounting tasks for Support Services including responsibility for general ledger journal entries for various entities, including foundations and joint ventures, review the property management ledger for BHS and Corporate as projects are entered into the system, supports the Senior Accountant in preparing and reconciling various account analyses, assists in health plan funding and journal entries for all applicable entities on a monthly basis, assists in reconciling health plan bank account and assists in preparing financial statements and account analysis, trains as backup for other accounting functions, and other duties as assigned. Utilizes office skills and ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required
A bachelor's degree in accounting with three years of work experience in accounting.
Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Word. Experience with Access is preferred.
