(This role has a hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days flex-remote)

The UHS Corporate Legal Department is hiring a Legal Contract Specialist whose primary focus is to prepare physician and non-physician contracts for the Acute Care Division. This role will also serve as the contact for the Acute Division and Corporate office for the Acute contracts and oversee electronic approval submittals.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Complete timely contract review, analysis, and drafting of Acute Care facility physician and non-physician service agreements, hospital-based agreements, employment contracts, graduate medical education agreements, leases and other professional physician related agreements as requested

  • Oversee that electronic approval submissions from the hospitals are completed correctly and troubleshoot/problem solve matters related to the electronic contract database utilized for the physician agreements

  • Assist in analyzing all clauses, stipulations, obligations, and liabilities to ensure the best interest of UHS and its Acute Care facilities
  • Train personnel at UHS Acute Care facilities in the contract process


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum 1 -3 years' experience in contract administration, healthcare preferred.

  • The ability to efficiently process a large number of contract requests in an organized and efficient manner
  • Strong negotiation, writing/contract preparation, verbal communication and presentation skills in order to clearly convey ideas based on selected audience. The ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with all levels of personnel, including executive-level personnel and decision makers
  • The ability to draft and revise contracts and multi-task to work on varying matters within the same timeframe
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively within the Legal Department and to effectively coordinate with representatives from other UHS departments and UHS facilities and outside parties to ensure timely and accurate contract preparation and problem resolution
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, and document management systems
