Network Security Analyst
Hybrid Remote 3 days onsite per week
Secret Clearance is required.

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an experienced Network Security Analyst in support of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Experience in defining network security requirements for local and wide area networks.
  • Evaluation of approved network security product capabilities, configuring standard communications protocols, detecting, and analyzing network vulnerabilities, and developing proper computer system security solutions.
  • Analyzes and determines security requirements for local and wide area networks.
  • Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet network security requirements.
  • Responsible for integration and implementation of the network security solution. Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development lifecycle.
  • Experience in downloading Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerabilities and reporting therein.
  • Work closely with vendors to determine vulnerability status and take the necessary actions to ensure devices remain compliant, documenting the mitigation processes while ensuring that "Best Practices" and IA policies are always adhered to minimizing risks where possible and maintaining the highest level of system availability.
  • Provide vulnerability scanning support to the MFD lab and devices in the production environment using the DoD standard ACAS tool.
  • Assess potential hardware for suitability within a DoD environment before procuring it.
  • Download ACAS vulnerabilities, report on findings, and report on remediation findings.

Job Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience related to Information Assurance compliance.
  • Must possess Secret Clearance
  • At least one of the following: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP
  • ACAS expertise and access is required.
  • Intermediate Excel skill knowledge

Additional Skills:
  • Communicate effectively and present technical approaches and findings.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability assessment, incident response, and remediation.
  • The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of modern security challenges facing the Department of Defense, DOD customer.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5 years of experience related to Information Assurance compliance.
  • Must possess a Secret Clearance
  • At least one of the following certifications:
Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP
  • ACAS expertise and access is required.
  • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution, ACAS knowledge
  • Intermediate Excel skill knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree
