Alliant Insurance/Senior Market Sales is hiring a remote Commission Manager for our O'Neill Marketing office based our of Saint Petersburg, FL!

O'Neill Marketing is a young and fast-growing FMO with the best contracts in the business! Representing health and life insurance companies and products, they provide 24/7 access to basic insurance questions, tools, and easy-to-understand commission reporting.

SUMMARY

Responsible for day to day workflow processing including coding and data entry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Administrative Support Functions: Contracting Support Functions: Prepare new contracting requests for contracting; Log contracts in the system received via email, fax, mail or online contracting websites; Quality check the work; Redirect work to appropriate area if not applicable to contracting; Assign the contracts and additional documents accordingly using the Associate workflow chart; Communicate issues and problems to supervisor for review. This position requires a lower level of communication with agents and internal marketers than the Contracting Associate II position. Certifications, License Updates, E&O Updates and Address Changes: Send email follow-ups to agents requesting updated E&O information; Research NIPR or other appropriate databases for updated license copies; Add updated state licenses, E&O, Continuing Education certificates to Agent Docs and forward to applicable carriers when necessary; Process License Expiration Reports and other appropriate reports from carriers. Status Processing: Send email follow up to carriers; Will experience periods of time with high volume of phone calls; Complete the reconciliation of files from carriers within appropriate guidelines as defined. Examples of such include: certification, hierarchy, license expiration, readiness, etc.; Follow-up with carriers for writing numbers and appointment dates; Updates agent writing number and appointment dates in Contact Manager from confirmation received from the carriers; Welcome letters, reports, carrier websites; Process termination and declination letters and reports. Process demographic updates for agent or agency; Address, phone/fax, email address changes.

* Special Projects: Work collaboratively with fellow staff to advance the values and mission of O'Neill Marketing by serving on relevant internal and external committees; Assists with special projects/assignments as requested by members of management.

* Performs other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED

One (1) or more years, general insurance industry or related field (financial services, marketing, business-to-business customer service or call center) experience

SKILLS

Working knowledge of insurance services industries.

Knowledge of the general industry procedures, practices and terminology.

Knowledge of insurance product lines.

Skill in identifying problems and problem resolution.

Skill in working effectively with other company departments, internal marketing staff, home office personnel and agents.

Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts.

Skill in the use of office equipment including computer, fax, printer, scanner, telephone system, etc.

Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with all customers, employees and the general public.

Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite, MS Outlook software preferred).

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a constructive manner.

Ability to approach and communicate with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner.

Ability to be patient under frustrating circumstances and demonstrate controlled emotional affect in difficult situations.

Ability to engage in effective interpersonal interaction, verbal communication and written communication.

Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail while remaining flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests.

Ability to read, write and communicate English effectively.

Ability to maintain all company policies, including all confidentiality and safety policies.

Ability to actively contribute to team effort.

Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment.

Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language is required and bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
