SUBJECT: Job Opening - Cracker Operation

We have the following jobs available in the Cracker Operation:

JOB TITLE: 3rd Shift Sig Operator

# OF OPENINGS One (1)

BASE RATE/HOUR: $31.06

HOURS: 10:55 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

(normal workweek Monday - Friday, but hours may vary with production schedule)

Must be able to work overtime. Start and end times may be adjusted based on business needs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Set-up, adjust, operate and monitor all components of the Cracker Sig Bag Machines (including Allen Distribution System, Ishida Scales, Metal Detector, Coder and all related conveyors) on a rotational basis - not sig specific
  • Partner with Operators as necessary to meet daily schedule attainment goals
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve issues that arise
  • Learn and understand how the equipment performs and when to make necessary adjustments

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Support and follow all Denver Safety Programs and policies.
  • Partner with Operators to meet daily schedule attainment goals.
  • Support and follow all Denver Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Quality Programs and policies; complete required Quality checks and related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain neat, clean, organized work area (immediate and surrounding); fully support all 5S initiatives.
  • Communicate with Sig Operator on previous/following shifts, as well as Maintenance personnel, Cracker Supervisor and Leader, and other employees to ensure quality information flow in support of DDS and all continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support SAP goals and initiatives.
  • Actively participate in and execute Operator Driven Reliability (ODR) initiatives.
  • Perform Operator Asset Care (OAC) and Preventative Maintenance activities (including but not limited to cleaning, inspecting and lubricating) on all packaging assets in the Cracker Operation in a competent manner.
  • Operate a lift truck/powered pallet jack.
  • Perform Sanitation duties and other responsibilities as assigned by Cracker Supervisor or Leader.
  • The Sig Operator must support all plant safety, quality, SAP, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. This support may include but is not limited to: serving in the role of 5S Leader, actively participating in all audits (i.e. Daily Sweep, Weekly Spot, etc.) and all aspects of team concepts, such as displaying a positive attitude, which are necessary to work collaboratively within a team environment. The person in this position must also perform other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor and/or manager.

Candidate selection will be based on ability to perform the job, which will be determined on the basis of Work Keys testing scores, personal interview and physical capacity screening. In addition, the job candidate's safety record, disciplinary record, quality of work, peer relationships, job performance, previous work history and experience will also be taken into consideration. Education

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
