The Oiler is responsible for maintaining the level of lubrication of all moving parts of heavy equipment throughout the facitlity.

Major Position Responsibilities
    An Oiler works plant wide systematically maintaining the lubrication and coolant systems needs of all manufacturing and facility equipment. Waste oil is monitored and removed in properly labeled containers.
  • On a daily basis maintains lubricant levels of manufacturing equipment.
  • Works with and follows Basic Rules of Manufacturing, General Dynamics OTS Environmental Policy, ISO Documentation, Quality Policy and other work related policies.
  • At all times demonstrates common safety practices associated with the manufacturing environment and the use of hand or industrial equipment.
  • Follows lockout/ tagout and confined space entry procedures.
  • Adhere to hazardous material storage and handling procedures.
Basic Qualifications
  • Any combination of education, training or work related experience that, in the eyes of a supervisor, would qualify the individual to meet the majority of the items listed in the assessment. The assessment specifically targets the knowledge, skills, abilities
  • Experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment helpful
  • Must be willing to work any shift assigned as this is a union environment
  • Must have excellet written and verbal communication skills and the ability to speak effectively to all levels of personnel
  • Must be able to do basic math and must be able to stand for 8 hours per day

***Scranton Army Ammunition Plant is a government contracted facility, all potential employees must be able to pass Federal background requirments***
