In the role of a Civil Engineer specializing in Transportation within the Design Unit, responsibilities include the preparation and thorough review of technical designs for a wide range of highway projects. These projects encompass limited access multi-lane highways, two-lane highways, highway reconstructions, and bridge improvement projects, involving intricate realignments and interchanges.
Serving as a crucial link between the department, internal units, and external consultants, the position involves overseeing the design process for numerous highway and bridge projects of varying complexities. This oversight extends from the initial scoping phase through environmental assessments and engineering phases, culminating in project letting for construction. Additionally, providing technical support during the construction phase is a key aspect of the role.
