Successful candidate will be accountable for safety, health and environmental aspects related to this position.
- Responsible for measuring and managing employee performance, completing the proper documentation supporting departmental and operational standards.
- Provides first response to problem solving with the Main Mill Maintenance group and engages employees to resolve problems utilizing practical problem-solving techniques.
- Responsible to ensure planned maintenance tasks assigned to their team is completed efficiently with a high degree of accuracy and on time.
- Assists in identifying needs and participates in training activities to ensure that employees acquire skill sets that support the customer demand and promotes flexibility across tasks where possible.
- Responsible for assigning and directing employees in a manner that maximizes the efficiency of the resources available and verifying quality of work in the main mill and outlying work groups.
- Responsible for evaluating and providing technical assistance throughout the plant concerning maintenance issues and equipment reliability requirements as it relates to complex equipment.
- Responsible to set a positive example as a change agent and direct employees in the use of continuous reliability improvement tools.
- Responsible to assist with establishing maintenance best practices.
- Responsible to coach/teach employees in a positive manner.

Candidate Must Possess:
- A high degree of knowledge of plant equipment and processes
- A high degree of technical understanding and ability across a broad spectrum of technical areas {i.e. electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.}
- Leadership qualities necessary to supervise and motivate highly skilled employees; including but not limited to strong communication, problems solving, interpersonal and organization skills
- Leadership qualities to develop partnerships with operations department leadership
- Capability or ability to learn the CMMS, Oracle and other computerized programs that pertain to this assignment
- High School Diploma - Two-year related degree preferred
