Job Description

Field Service Techniciansprovidetimely servicesupportfortechnicalproblems,monitoring,testing, and demonstrations that result in minimizing downtime, reducing costs, or promoting our product capabilities in the case of a test or demo. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing parts as needed to maintain the equipment.

The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. Noise protection is required in this role. Field Service Technicians are occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the risk of electrical shock. This position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities:

  • Providingtechnicalsupportin theformoftroubleshootingeitherbyphoneoron-site
  • Supplyingpartsinformation in theformofsuggestedstockingguides
  • Providingwarrantysupport;evaluatingand validating claims, discussing issues with the ProductCompany,andsubmittingservicereportsto supportclaims
  • Leadingtrainingfordistributorsand customersonall relevantfeaturesand benefitsofusingourproducts, including the creation ofcustomized courses perthecustomer'sneeds
  • Primary training contact onequipmentoperationand proper useofconsumables,suchas rockdrillingtools,ground reinforcement products,installation,andgrinding equipment
  • Set up andmonitoring ofneworimprovedcomponents testing
  • Tracking associated costs,ordatafromtests toensurecompletion
  • Customizing solutions to address issues specific to customers
  • Communicatingservice andotherrelevant activities to Customers and Service Managers throughdailyservice reportsorrelevant forms,e-mail, andtelephonecommunication
  • Maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff at all times

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Certificate of Completion from a Technical or Trade School, three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Maintainrequired USDepartmentofLabor,Mine, Safety&HealthAdministrationTrainingCertificates,oragree tocompletethe trainingprogram(s)neededto acquirethe Training Certificates
  • Maintaina valid driver's license; a good drivingrecordis required
  • If required to operate a commercial vehicle weighing more than 26,001 pounds, you must be able to pass all requirements necessary to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for Department of Transportation (DOT) purposes;Employees must be at least 18 years of age to drive commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) within state lines (intrastate) only; Drivers must be at least21 years oldto drive commercial vehicles across state lines (interstate)
  • Previous work experienceshouldhavedemonstrated astrongmechanicalaptitudeand goodworkethic
  • Successful candidates must be able to sit for extended periods if needed, use hands to feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
  • Travel is required in this position
  • Residency in theHarrisburg, PAarea
