DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position performs various tasks related to maintenance, repair, housekeeping, grounds keeping, and other work for the facilities, lands, and infrastructure of the Ricketts Glen State Park.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Seasonal full-time employment. The season runs from approximately March through November at which the employee is placed on leave without pay until the following year.
  • Typical work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 5 days per week, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • We are a 7 day a week operation so hours may include other shifts, weekends, and holidays.
    • Must be available weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
  • No health care benefits provided and no option to buy into group healthcare through the employer.

  • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
    • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
