Consulting Business Insights Leadership Development (BUILD) Fellow
Who You'll Work With
In this role, you will work with a variety of teams during a series of rotational assignments over the 2-year program. You will build a network of peers and mentors, develop your personal leadership toolkit, build on your strengths, and learn about different types of roles at the firm. As a BUILD (Business Insights Leadership Development) Fellow, you will learn various tools and skills, core business essentials, advanced communication tactics, and foundational problem-solving methods.

At the end of the 2-year development program, Fellows may apply for available full-time open positions or pursue other external opportunities. Availability of full-time roles at McKinsey is not guaranteed.
What You'll Do
BUILD is a 2-year rotational opportunity for university graduates from New York public colleges and universities, where you will gain real world professional experience across various pathways at the firm.
You will be part of our BUILD program based in the New York office, and will rotate across a variety of teams during the program. Rotations will be a mixture of internal, client facing and/or client adjacent roles.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree or 1-2 years of work experience after completing your undergraduate degree; master's degree may be considered with <2 years of work experience; all degree(s) achieved must be from a New York public college/university
  • Have a graduation date of May 2023 through August 1, 2024
  • Recent graduate or in final year of an undergraduate or graduate degree, ideally in a quantitative/analytical field
  • Strong record of leadership and initiative taking
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Work effectively in a team environment and with people at all levels in an organization
  • Communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing - in English

A reasonable estimate of the range for new joiners for this role in the United States is $92,000 - $92,000. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to an individual's assigned office location, experience and expertise. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinseyis discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
