Overview

The primary responsibility of this position is to process, execute and reconcile transactions for accounts payable and fixed assets, cash and due reconcilements, sales tax and escheat processing.

Responsibilities
    Responsible for following corporate and department policies and procedures to ensure that invoices and expense reports are in compliance policies and procedures. Responsible for entering invoices into accounts payable system. Responsible for processing checks in a four-day turnaround time schedule. Responsible for processing journal entries associated with check processing.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the corporation's current capitalization policy. Assign fixed asset coding per the current fixed asset schedule, upload fixed assets to the fixed asset system.
  • Analyze bank statements and reconcile to general ledger. Determine the type of transaction and the department responsible for processing and notify responsible department for clearing of items. Initiate research and follow-up of open items. Following policy, determine the eligibility of exception items for write-off and recommend to Accounting Operations Manager.
  • Assist with the compilation and preparation of sales and use tax return preparation for various affiliates and multiple states. Maintain a working knowledge of sales and use tax laws for the states the corporation operates in.
  • Assist with the compliance and timely filing of escheat for all states.
Qualifications
Education

Associate Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Business or other applicable. (Preferred)

High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required)

Experience

5 or more years Accounts payable, fixed Assets, reconcilements, sales tax and escheat processing. . (Required)

This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.89 - $29.86.
