Payroll Manager Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for all payroll functions including salary, hourly, field service and field construction areas.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations and change of pay rates as well as payroll transactions including benefits updates, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices.
  • Administers all 401(k) related functions including enrollment, processing, funding, and NDT reporting.
  • Directs staff of 1-2 individuals.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources and Accounting teams.
  • Liaise with auditors and manages payroll tax audits.
  • Establish a solid working relationship with all Union Business Managers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Payroll Manager experience, technical skills & attributes required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required. Payroll Professional certification (i.e. CPP, CPM) is a plus.
  • 5 years experience administering a multi-state payroll. Knowledge & experience with Vista/Trimble software a plus.
  • Prior experience of implementing a new payroll system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, mathematics, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Position is full-time Monday - Friday
