NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time outpatient Physical Therapist in Oakmont, PA

Our Oakmont, PA physical therapy center is looking for a compassionate and driven licensed Physical Therapist to lead a team and provide exceptional patient care experiences. Schedule: Monday through Friday with 3 evenings a week until 7pm. 2 early days done by 1pm.

Compensation: Salary range is $65k-$75K/yr based on your experience. Plus $350 per month directly to your student loans for the duration of your employment with us!

Unique Location/Job Details: Our Oakmont outpatient orthopedic is 1 PT, 1 PTA center looking for a lead PT who wants to work their way into management. This center sees a diverse patient mix including sports medcine, neuro and vestibular/post concussion.

Responsibilities
  • Understand appropriate state practice acts and adhere to the laws which govern how physical therapists may practice and whom physical therapists may supervise.
  • Complete and maintain all corporate & clinical services required training and maintain compliance with state/local/federal regulations.
  • Evaluate, treat, and direct treatment for patients for whom physical therapy is medically necessary.
  • Strong clinical and mentoring/teaching skills (includes junior PTs and student PT/PTAs as well as local continuing education programs.).
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with existing referral sources attending office visits, observing surgery, or attending rounds.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy
  • Valid State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
  • Minimum of two to three years of clinical experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift. Must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
  • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
  • Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
  • Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate reporting, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of electronic equipment.
  • Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
