The salary range for this role is:

$81,732.56 - $138,934.64

Responsibilities:

The Demand Planning team is responsible for managing the Demand Review process to drive the volume forecast for enterprise planning and execution.The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for managing one or more Strategic Business Units and Sales Zones while leading the cross functional team in achieving best-in-class performance in demand forecasting.

  • Lead the demand planning team in working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain teams to develop an aggregate unconstrained volume forecast for one or more Sales Zones.
  • Communicate and articulate the assumptions, drivers, and building blocks for the forecast with senior managers and executives.
  • Work as a key strategic partner with Sales Business Development Managers to align on unconstrained demand plan monthly.
  • Provide strategic input to business partners as it relates to market risks and opportunities.
  • Track the accuracy of forecasts, including underlying forecast inputs, understand drivers of forecast errors, develop and implement action plans to improve the accuracy of forecasts. Report out on performance improvement.
  • Manage the process of disaggregating the volume forecast into SKU level and DC-level forecast to drive production and distribution decisions.
  • Innovate, refine, and improve the forecasting process, including statistical models, KPI's, process efficiencies, tool effectiveness, customer collaboration, etc.
  • Provide reporting and analytics for responsible Strategic Business Units to larger Demand Planning/IBP organization as appropriate.
  • Evaluate forecast models and explore new methodologies using state-of-the-art research in demand planning. Lead the analysis and understanding of customers using advanced analytics.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business, Logistics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or relevant work experience required.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of work experience in supply chain with at least 3-4 years in Demand Planning or managing a forecasting process in a related field.
  • Consumer products, grocery, or mass merchandising experience a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills (team facilitation, consensus building, project leadership, and project execution).
  • Strong communication skills (oral/verbal, written reports, presentations) and able to interact with people in various levels of the organization.
  • Solid understanding of Retail/CPG demand/supply chain, particularly in the areas of shipment forecasting, consumption analysis and forecasting, inventory management, trade promotions, market/category analysis, statistical forecasting, etc.
  • Exceptionally strong analytical, process and people skills with previous forecasting experience.
  • Self-starter with continuous improvement mindset in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred experience with SAP APO, ERP, Anaplan, or other advanced planning and forecasting applications.
