EisnerAmper's Outsourced Services - Real Estate group has experienced significant growth and is seeking a real estate accounting manager with expertise using Real Estate platforms such as Yardi, AppFolio and Intacct. This individual will report to the Managing Director of Outsourced Real Estate Accounting and will be responsible for servicing real estate clients, managing multi entity portfolios of properties, both commercial and/or residential. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of accountants who perform all back-office accounting functions for clients.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:
  • Manage a team of accountants who perform all back-office accounting functions for clients including reconciliations, bill and expense payment, payroll, and the creation of management reports and financial statements

  • Responsible for leading property/construction accounting for respective portfolio

  • Provide insight and guidance to clients on how Real Estate technology (Yardi/other) can be utilized properly to manage the business

  • Provide insight and guidance to clients on reporting and analytics

  • Perform monthly financial review and approve final reports

  • Review and approve wires, ACHs, and internal bank transfers

  • Participate in sales calls with clients and prospects. Provide input on solution and pricing.

  • Monitor engagement profitability and client satisfaction

  • Manage a team of accountants who perform all back-office accounting functions for clients including reconciliations, bill and expense payment, payroll, and the creation of management reports and financial statements

  • Provide training, coaching and support for property accounting team and new Real Estate Accountants

  • Perform performance reviews and makes recommendations

  • Upload financial information for new properties (opening balance sheet, trailing 12, etc.)

  • Have technical knowledge of lease accounting

  • Maintain CAM and operation escalation schedules

  • Maintain task management and workpapers in workflow management software.

  • Monitor engagement labor budget and client satisfaction

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • 7 + years' experience in real estate managing multiple properties entities - commercial, residential, and new construction

  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct, and/or Yardi

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • Experience working with task management and workpaper system (Blackline, Floqast)

  • Experience working with Appfolio and/or Avid Exchange

For NYC and California, the expected salary range for this position is between

85000

and

150000

The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences.The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
