Section 1: Position Summary

The Insights & Analytics team within the Digital, Marketing and Analytics Mgmt. organization, is looking for an innovative and hands-on Sr. Digital Analyst to lead analytics efforts meant to drive growth and a superior user experience, through experimentation and data-driven insights. With a focus on our Retirement business, this is an opportunity to work with creative businesspeople who are change agents for our business design practices and methodologies, affecting top-line revenue. This is a high-visibility role working with Marketing, Sales, Product, and senior business leaders.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Sr. Digital Analyst, you will:

  • Use your analytical skills, programming background, and problem-solving talents to extract actionable insights from our data, providing guidance and thought partnership to business leaders and stakeholders on how best to harness available data in support of critical business needs and goals.
  • Be a Web/Digital Analytics expert within the team, leveraging analytics acumen to develop data-backed insights from complex data sources that drive and inform strategic business decisions for unique business problems, bringing clarity to complex problems.
  • Work side-by-side with product managers, software engineers, and designers in designing experiments and minimum viable products.
  • Run data analysis to support experimentation and convert analytical findings into client and participant insights that power marketing, product, and support strategies across end-to-end user journeys.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and other analysts/data engineers to ensure analytical solutions are scalable, repeatable, effective, and meet expectations of various stakeholders, by contributing to the design, development, and automation of data tools and dashboards that allow internal customers to monitor metrics in a highly scalable self-service way.
  • Be responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Intellectually curious, passionate about telling stories based on data, enthusiastic about being an analytics SME within the organization and have a passion for applying data analytics to improve business results.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including professional experience in hypothesis testing, design of experiments, data mining, data visualization, and data manipulation/transformation.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a data analyst/scientist role including data mining, data transformation, and delivering relevant insights.
  • 5+ years of experience working in Product Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Operations Analytics, or other data-driven strategic insights analytic role.
  • 5+ years of experience using SQL, Python, or R to explore, understand and transform data within a relational database environment.
  • 3+ years of experience leveraging data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Cliq, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience in Statistical/Hypothesis Testing and design of experiments
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and communicate both orally and in writing with technical and non-technical audiences, with an aptitude for telling stories with data, educating effectively, instilling confidence and motivating stakeholders to act on recommendations.
  • MS in Statistics, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Data Analytics, Finance, Advanced Analytics, or related field
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and key deadlines, balancing short- and long-term strategic implications to meet and/or exceed business objectives.
  • Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries to solve complex problems and apply data-driven decision-making principles.
  • Proficient organizational skills, documentation, time management, portfolio prioritization experience, and accountability required.

For all virtual remote positions, in order to ensure associates can effectively perform their job duties with no distractions, we require an uninterrupted virtual work space and there is also an expectation of family care being in place during business hours.
