Position Description:
The Master Scheduler will develop the over-arching production schedule in accordance with current demand, sales forecasting, production capacity, and upcoming opportunities. The key focus of the role will be to work with all stakeholders to establish production schedules to meet customer demand and drive On Time Delivery. The Master Scheduler will be a major collaborator in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. The Master Scheduler will have a matrix reporting relationship, straight line reporting to the Operations team through the Planning Manager and dotted line reporting to the Project Management team through the Director of Project Management. The Master scheduler may assume team lead or project management responsibilities depending on production volume or sensitivity of key projects.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Create a valid master schedule; aligning priority need dates to planned shipment dates and planned capacity to required capacity focused on supporting customer requirements.
Ensures production project schedules are aligned in ERP system
Identify impacts of prioritization changes to schedules and deliveries
Identify variances between planned schedule and actual schedule performance
Drive continuous improvement in planning activities to improve overall schedule performance and on time delivery
Act as a cross departmental liaison, providing updates and critical information to operations teams, engineering teams, and project management
Support quotation process by providing applications engineering and commercial teams with accurate planning information
Work with production teams on capacity planning
Develop improved scheduling metrics to support performance improvements
Assist planners with analyzing data to ensure best delivery schedules
Qualifications:
12-15 years of related industry experience in planning, inventory control, materials management, or procurement; with a minimum of 7 years planning experience
Minimum 10 years' experience working in a high mix, low volume OEM manufacturing environment
Knowledge of MRP Systems required, J.D. Edwards / Oracle preferred
Knowledge of inventory management - analysis of requirements vs inventory positions
Must be able to handle sensitive and proprietary information confidentially and with discretion
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures (machining, welding, NDT,etc)
Understanding of import and export INCOTERMS
Proven track record of continuous improvement
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in MS Office especially Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups etc.).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong sense of urgency to obtain results
APICS CPIM certification preferred

Annual Salary: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00Additional Compensation
