Ansell is looking for a Data Scientist to join our team in Iselin, NJ!

In this position you will play a vital role in designing and implementing statistical analysis models and machine learning algorithms to extract insights from structured and unstructured data.

What your role will be?

  • Develop, test, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models to forecast future trends, events, and behaviors, providing Ansell with forward-looking insights.
  • Use data visualization tools to present complex results in an easily interpretable manner.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs, challenges, and strategic objectives.
  • Lead data science projects from end-to-end, including identifying data sources,collecting required data, data cleaning and pre-processing, exploratory data analysis, feature selection and engineering, model building, deployment, and reporting.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in the data science field and introduce new techniques as appropriate.

What will you bring to Ansell?

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
  • 8+ years of overall experience with at least 5 years of experience in data science.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful data science projects that create tangible business value.
  • Deep understanding of statistical modeling, probability, machine learning algorithms, predictive modeling and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with a variety of data mining and data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, R and SQL.
  • Proficiency in working with data in various formats like Json, xml, csv, ORC, Parquet, etc.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
