Job Description

Hill International is seeking an Environmental Engineer in Downingtown, Pennsylvania


  • Conducts field inspections to check for compliance to Chapter 102 Erosion Control Program & Clean Streams Law, and Chapter 105 - Water Obstructions and Encroachments.
  • Inspect earth disturbance activities to ensure that the installation, operation, and maintenance components of the erosion and sediment pollution control plans, permits, and project specifications are being implemented.
  • Prepares detailed reports of Field inspection findings and document inspections using online reporting applications.
  • Review plans to identify potential violations of permit and specification requirements.
  • Perform weekly and post rainfall project inspections of stormwater control BMP's on the project.

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or closely related field (preferred)
  • Familiar with standard construction practices, methods, materials, and equipment for stormwater management during the construction of roadway and bridge projects.
  • Five (5) years related experience desired.
  • Ability to travel and perform field work.
