The Program and Academic Coordinator for the Film and Media Studies Program in the Humanities Division in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences will provide key administrative and academic course scheduling support to the unit. Coordinates a variety of administrative tasks including day-to-day operations, such as general office support, supporting the Program Director, purchasing office supplies, website updates, and submitting facilities requests. Incumbent will work closely with the Program Director to development and coordinate the program course scheduling process, final exam and grade logistics, room scheduling, as well as assist with faculty recruitment and on-boarding. Processes travel and expenses reimbursements. Will work collaboratively with internal and external offices across the university to accomplish program goals. Provides oversight of student workers within the unit and back up to other Dietrich School departments as needed.
Performs various administrative and student services duties in support of a school. Facilitates human resources recruiting support for faculty, staff, and students; student registration; coordination of teaching schedules; and other related faculty and student services.
The successful candidate will use a computer extensively. The incumbent must be capable of oral, written, and electronic communications. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. In addition to a computer, they must be able to use a telephone and other general office equipment including but not limited to fax machines, photocopiers, scanners, printers, etc.
This position is generally sedentary within an office setting, but the ability to travel around campus is occasionally necessary. Also, must be able to pick-up and carry 25 pounds.
