Gas Utility Worker Debary, FL

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

  1. Must have a valid Florida Driver's License and obtain a Florida Commercial Driver's License Class "B" with endorsement code "X", without air brake restrictions, within 180 days after hire and must pass a D.O.T. (Department of Transportation) Physical every two (2) years or Class "A" with air brakes dependent upon company location.
  2. Must be able to write and print legibly.
  3. Must be able to read at normal comprehensive level.
  4. Must be mechanically inclined.
  5. Must have a keen sense of smell and adequate hearing and eyesight.
  6. Must possess tact and suitable personality for customer contact.
  7. Must be capable of utilizing telephone.
  8. Must be in good physical condition and capable of doing manual labor.
  9. Must be able to read street maps and travel to dispatched locations.
  10. Must be willing to participate in Company provided training programs.
  11. Must be capable of being trained in using all types of equipment and instruments associated with performance of duties.
  12. Must be capable of reading gauges and meters.
  13. Must be able and willing to direct the work of others in equal or lower classifications.
  14. Must be capable and willing to obtain certification to render first aid, artificial resuscitation, etc.
  15. Must be willing and able to work overtime as required.
  16. Must be familiar with federal, state and local rules and regulations applicable to their job.
  17. Must be certified to perform P.E. heat fused and mechanical joints.
  18. Required to be On Call Duty rotation.
  19. Must be able to pass the training requirements outlined in the Training Grid associated with this position.
