The Logistics and Transportation Specialist will work with CUB's Community based programs to ensure day to day transportation and care delivery needs are met.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in outreach opportunities and community events, including assisting as needed with registration, crowd engagement and flow, and data collection under direction of program leads
  • Manage day-to-day logistical and transportation needs including driving vehicles to and from the storage lot, Temple campus, and care delivery sites following all CUB transport guidelines, including remaining with vehicle at site, and/or if requested by program leads during events or when services are being provided.
  • Ensure uniformity, cleanliness, and safety of mobile units and surrounding site, documenting and notifying all required parties of malfunctions or vehicle issues (including ancillary vehicle functionality such as washrooms).
  • Maintain vehicle records such as daily/ milage logs, maintenance schedules, recall/ warranty issues, and repairs needed and completed.
  • Observe vehicle safety, warning indicators, and functionality issues and make needed corrections and/ or schedule, coordinate and ensure repair.
  • Assist program leads and staff with inventory, loading, and unloading of supplies and event/ site set up, clean up, and take down.
  • Engage with program participants and potential participants, acting as an ambassador to CUB and the community program, maintaining knowledge of service and participant processes to accurately reflect and advertise programs referring participants to program leads as needed. Specific trainings (related to patient confidentiality, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care) may be required at the discretion of program leads.

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and at least six months of experience, or an Associate's Degree and 3 years of experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated commitment to serving the North Philadelphia community.
  • Demonstrated interest in relationship building and working with justice-involved individuals, individuals experiencing SUD/ in recovery, and people of diverse backgrounds and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Philadelphia demographics and experience with community engagement.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to be detail-oriented and to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to respond to and resolve challenging situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, along with the ability to operate standard office equipment and software including MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a diverse population of students, faculty staff, and community members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Valid Driver's License.
