Summary

Support the Maintenance and Supervision of Field Personnel for Butane Blending sites. This requires but is not limited to field support of microprocessor based instrumentation, PLC functionality, and local area network (LAN) hardware and software. The successful applicant will possess detailed knowledge of instrumentation and automation concepts as well as maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day maintenance of existing blending facilities.
  • Work closely with customer's personnel to ensure maximum butane blending potential at each location.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with general contractors for support with repair and maintenance of existing systems.
  • Manage all field personnel and resources in order to support the optimization of mechanical operations of blending systems
  • Direct all field personnel to ensure quick and thorough resolution of blending system malfunctions
  • Communication with contractors to insure all parties understand and comply with desired system design, installation, and timelines; on a daily basis schedule all maintenance activities for customer blending systems within assigned geographical area and other areas, as required
  • Travel as needed for new installation, site reviews, routine maintenance, problem solving, and customer relations.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong leadership and people skills.
  • Experience with CMMS or maintenance planning and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge and direct experience with process mechanical equipment, process instrumentation, electrical and automation systems, including but not limited to, HART smart instrumentation, electrically and pneumatically operated valves, valve positioners, transducers, Coriolis flow meters, low voltage electrical distribution systems, panelboards, transformers, switches, VFSs and UPS units, pumps, compressors and stationary mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with meter proving concepts.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, automation and P&ID drawings.
  • Knowledge of NEC article 500 Hazardous location requirements.
  • Knowledge and direct experience with OSHA 1910.119 - Process safety management of highly hazardous chemicals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in supervision, management or leadership role.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
