The salary range for this role is:

$81,732.56 - $138,934.64

Responsibilities:

As the Manager of Supplier Operational Performance at Del Monte Foods, you will play a vital role in overseeing the co-manufacturing strategy and operations to ensure the successful production and delivery of high-quality products in collaboration with our external manufacturing partners. Your responsibilities will include selecting co-manufacturers, negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and driving continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on operational excellence to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Co-Manufacturing Tactics & Planning:

  • Assist in developing and executing a comprehensive co-manufacturing strategy aligned with the company's manufacturing and business objectives.
  • Participate in evaluating and selecting potential co-manufacturers based on capacity, capabilities, quality standards, and geographic location.
  • Support the implementation of the supplier scorecard to evaluate co-manufacturer performance against key metrics and drive accountability.

Supplier Performance Management:

  • Collaborate in establishing and maintaining relationships with co-manufacturers, fostering collaboration and transparency.
  • Assist in conducting regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.

  • Implement supplier development programs to enhance the capabilities and performance of key co-manufacturing partners.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Support the implementation and oversight of quality assurance processes to ensure co-manufactured products meet regulatory requirements and quality specifications.
  • Participate in audits and inspections at co-manufacturing facilities, collaborating with quality assurance teams as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and safety.

Operational Excellence:

  • Participate in initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency at co-manufacturing facilities.
  • Support the implementation of best practices in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence to drive cost savings and improve overall performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, throughput, and adherence to identify opportunities for improvement and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the co-manufacturing team.
  • Become the expert on the internal workings of the co-manufacturers.

Risk Management & Contingency Planning

  • Assist in identifying potential risks in the co-manufacturing supply chain and contribute to developing mitigation strategies.
  • Support the establishment of contingency plans and alternative sourcing options to minimize disruptions to production and supply.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, or related roles within the CPG industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and best practices in food safety and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and project management
