The Team Member unloads trucks, breaks down pallets, restacks U boats, moves out U boats, puts up new stock. The Team Member stocks product to include fresh, grocery, and DSD vendor backstock on non-delivery days. The Team Member replenishes shelves from mass and end displays. The Team Member breaks down cartons, bails cardboard, faces/presents store, moves/stacks pallets.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Providing quality customer service is an essential component of every position within The GIANT Company. Each position serves its own group of customers, which may consist of consumers, associates, vendors and business associates. As much care should be given to handling our internal "customers", as the ultimate consumer. This includes but is not limited to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment as well as training and developing associates to meet the needs of the customer.
* Perform total store duties as assigned by Salaried Store Management and Team Leads.
* Implement, and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in all areas of the store to be compliant with federal, state, local, and The GIANT Company policy and procedure.
* Loads U boats with fresh and center store stocking items, stocks and replenishes shelves from backstock, and mass/end displays, rotates product, presents shelving as requested by Store Management or Team Leads and removes out of code items using most efficient methods for rotation.
* Handle customer's transactions and purchases at the register and ensures customer is of age when purchasing the alcoholic product, validating ID and proper state limits to alcohol purchases.
* Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations, as they apply to the total store.
* Maintain proper cooler conditions to include rotating and organizing cases of product.
* Must dress according to company policy and maintain a neat, clean appearance always.
* Must be able to meet minimum physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation


QUALIFICATIONS


* To competently perform at a proficient level and be fully qualified, a team member would be expected to have:
* Specialized Knowledge Needed: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills
* Special Skills: Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements to solve problems.
* Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
* Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Shift Hours: Minimum 4 hours shift or more depending upon business needs

* Category IV: Lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lb.
