We have an immediate opening for aAWP IT Analyst working hybrid out of global HQ in Allentown, PA or Houston, TX or likely remote if not local to our offices.

The AWP IT Analyst will provide overall responsibility for the delivery of implementation, enhancements, and maintenance of existing or new applications, meeting service level agreements, and product and lifecycle management for AWP services. In addition, the analyst will be a change agent and ensure that all collaborators are following the Air Products detailed AWP Implementation, processes, and procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for requirements definition, application analysis, and functional design of new solutions.

  • Knowledge of EPC systems in engineering design, document management, subcontract management, Construction Management, and commissioning.

  • Understanding of the change impact of implementation of AWP process to the project lifecycle.

  • In-depth knowledge in the full cycle of application activities from development through production and into support.

  • Deep, technical understanding of AWP systems, processes, and data needs, and must be intimately familiar with AWP process, terminology, roles and responsibilities.

  • Previous experience implementing and leading AWP systems for large capital construction projects.

  • Provide technical direction in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and deployment of new Digital Technology enable capabilities related to capital project construction, maintenance, bug fixes, and enhancements of those applications.

  • Design and build new value-add solutions including ability to assess the impact of new application requirements, gather and document business requirements, develop comprehensive functional specifications and data strategies, and build ensuring the new solution that meets business objectives while maintaining standard AP Digital Technology directives.

  • Actively participate in design discussions and program functional reviews.

  • Maintain existing services, resolve incidents and problem management, and meet SLAs.

  • Align with the business Owners, Automation, and Digital Technologies (IT) groups to ensure seamless DT project execution.

  • Work with the engineering automation group and enterprise architect to determine integration strategy and alignment with other Air Products' tools.

  • Work closely with the Regional Project Automation Managers to ensure seamless setup and support of tools.

  • Work closely with engineering automation group to develop automation procedures for software requirements, configuration, set up, deployment and project close-out/archiving including handover to Operations.

  • Capture, analyze, input and compile information; submit required information and provide functional specification to the application owner.

  • Participate in all project stages with accountability for eliciting, validating and documenting business requirements which ensure "value-add" to the client.

  • Creating a testing strategy and ensuring all functionality is testedprior to production deployment.

  • Work with Change and Release Management team to ensure representation and coordination of the project throughout the change and release process.

  • Work closely with the PM to ensure successful completion of project deliverables.

  • Provide product/life cycle, vendor, and contract management for supported applications.

  • Continuously drive excellence in the areas of optimizing services and work processes, improving quality and reliability, and lowering total costs.

  • Strong working knowledge of applications used on large EPC projects, e.g., Hexagon SmartPlant construction, P6, Ecosys, OpenText, Kahua, Procore, Autodesk Build, O3 or similar.

  • Knowledge on WorkPacks will be an added advantage.

  • Knowledge on WorkPacks - Decisions will be an added advantage.

Specific Job Functions of this position are:

  • Implement data and tools strategy for AWP design and implementation.

  • Ensure that the project's AWP processes and procedures are complete and up to date.

  • Be actively involved in the interactive planning sessions through all phases of the AWP implementation and be ready to intervene in any problems related to the AWP processes and procedures.

  • Must have construction site experience in managing end to end site activities as a CPM or any other similar role on Oil & Gas, heavy engineering, or any other construction Projects for an MNC.

  • Collaborate with the business to define workflows and process for Construction Work Areas (CWA's), Construction Work Packages (CWP's) Engineering Work Packages (EWP's) Procurement Work Packages (PWP's).

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and engineering applications, such as Hexagon tools and O3.

  • Up to 5+ years IT or business experience, with a focus on requirements analysis preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience with related business activities within their functional expertise.

  • Strong problem solving and teamwork skills.

  • Able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to lead workshops.

  • Strong vendor relationship and product management skills.

  • General understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service delivery methodology.

  • Construction Project Management certification added advantage.

  • Valid Drivers' License and good driving record required.
