OVERVIEW:

The purpose of the Business Lending Loan Coordinator Team Leader is to supervise the Loan Coordinators in the daily activities of the Credit Union's member business loan processing and documentation. This position is responsible for providing supervision to the business loan coordinators to ensure a high level of member and Loan Officer satisfaction through timely and accurate loan processing, documentation, and problem resolution to support the attainment of the Credit Union's portfolio growth. A significant degree of creativity, data analysis, and problem-solving skills are required in order to effectively solve a wide variety of issues that may arise.

With no budgetary responsibility, the Business Lending Loan Coordinator Team Leader oversees the business loan processing and documentation processes for the member business loan portfolio, handles a variety of essential and often complex lending, oversees loan compliance and often complex business lending functions and train staff. This role will balance all General Ledgers used by business lending and in compliance, make sure invoices are paid in a timely manner as well as support the AVP Business Lending Operations in special projects and departmental objectives. In addition, this this individual performance, fosters a positive team environment, and works with the department Manager on coaching, performance issues and evaluations.

EDUCATION:

* General and business knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma

EXPERIENCE:

* 2-4 years of related experience in loan operations and business lending and servicing
* 0-1 year of specialized training

SKILLS:

* Advanced decision making requires analytical ability, judgment and ingenuity

* Advanced level of Courtesy, tack and diplomacy are essential elements

* Advanced communication and interpersonal skills

* Strong organizational and time management skills

* Solid math computation skills

* Thorough knowledge of loan process and documentation including but not limited to lien searches, title work, appraisal and regulatory requirements such as HMDA and flood insurance

* Goal oriented

* Familiarity with PCs and applicable software

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing

* Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment

* Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel

* Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
