POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for assessing and preparing patients for Cardiac Cath, Pacemaker Implant, Structural Heart and IR procedures. Recovers, monitors and cares for post cardiac catheterization, post cardiac intervention, post peripheral angiography/intervention, post pacemaker and post structural heart procedure patients. Receives direction from: Providers, Anesthesia providers, Nurse Manager, Cath Lab Manager/Director and Charge Nurse. Gives direction to: LPN, C.N.A

EDUCATION:

RN Nursing Program, required.

EXPERIENCE:

Pre-Post Cardiac Catheterization, preferred.

Tele or PACU/ICU, preferred.

Advanced critical thinking skills; self-motivated; adaptable to a fast-paced environment; time management, embraces change; innovative thinker focused on process, preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

BLS, required.

ACLS, required.

PALS, required.

MT RN licensure, required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures, required.

Critical Care Nursing experience, preferred.

Interpretation of ECG rhythm strips and 12 lead ECG.IV skills, required.

Basic office skills, required.

Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position, required.
