About the role:
As a Database Architect you could work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.

What you will be doing:

  • Designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements.
  • Interacting with product managers to define requirements and modifications.
  • Participating in software design meetings to determine technical requirements.
  • Develop database solutions and strategies for future technology roadmap.
  • Optimize database performance, scalability, and reliability through effective database design, indexing strategies, and query optimization techniques.


What you will need:

  • Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards.
  • Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations and operations.
  • Fluency in sequence diagrams, data models etc.
  • Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines.
  • A bachelor's in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent communicator - ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.
  • Attention to detail - track record of authoring high quality documentation.
  • Organized approach - manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
  • Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team.


you would be a rockstar candidate if you have:

  • Extensive experience (15+ years) working as a Database Architect with a focus on transactional and Warehouse databases using Oracle technologies.
  • Proficiency in database modeling, ensuring the data models aligns with business needs.
  • Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization and scalability enhancements.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Database technologies, including Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, EXADATA.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Knowledge of snowflake, star design, Big data, cloud technologies etc.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL, cloud database services

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $117,620.00 - $197,580.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
