Are you a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an interest in Critical Care? ChristianaCare is currently recruiting APC's (Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners) to join our Critical Care APC Fellowship program! This 12-month program is for candidates who are new to advanced practice and/or have less than 1 year of critical care experience. This program allows for a supported transition into the role of the Critical Care APC in the fast-paced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) environment. Successful completion of the program will prepare you for a wide range of positions within critical care.
The program will consist of clinical rotations through all our intensive care units including the Medical ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, Neurocritical Unit, and Surgical/Trauma Critical Care unit in addition to supplemental experiences and rotations in other specialty areas. Didactic lectures will be provided weekly to supplement clinical experience. The program also includes VEST experiences for training and competency development for common procedures and clinical scenarios experienced in the critical care setting.
The Critical Care Fellow will receive an annual salary of $82,000.
Critical Care APC fellows are considered full-time employees of Christiana Care with full benefits including healthcare, CME stipend, and conference time. Fellows who successfully complete the program and demonstrate Christiana Care's core values and behaviors are welcome to apply for permanent employment in our critical care units at a rate commensurate with their clinical experience.
This program allows for a supported transition into the role of a Critical Care APC and we hope you consider joining ChristianaCare on this journey!
